Pain management and regenerative medicine under one roof
Stemedix is a regenerative-medicine clinic in St. Petersburg, Florida. It opened in 2013, which makes it one of the older stem-cell clinics in the US, and it's run by physicians rather than sold as a franchise. Treatments happen the same day, on an outpatient basis, and most patients are in and out in a few hours. The clinic works on degenerative conditions, chronic pain, and autoimmune disease, and runs a separate program it calls Age Management for age-related complaints: stiff joints, muscle loss, skin changes, slower recovery. Stemedix is upfront that this work is experimental and not FDA-approved, and its own FAQ says plainly that it doesn't promise a fix. The therapies use the patient's own bone marrow or fat, umbilical-cord cells from Wharton's jelly, or exosomes. No embryonic or fetal cells are used. COPD is one of the conditions the clinic has built a specific program around. For lung work the cells go in through an IV so they circulate rather than being placed in one joint, and they come either from the patient's own bone marrow or fat or from screened donated Wharton's jelly, which Stemedix says runs about 80 percent mesenchymal stem cells. Its COPD page states that the therapy is experimental and has not been approved by the FDA, and describes what it is aiming at as easier breathing, better exercise tolerance, and less reliance on supplemental oxygen. Any change usually starts within about a week and takes six weeks to three months to settle. There are two Florida locations: the main office in the Bayfront Medical Plaza in St. Petersburg, and a second in Delray Beach. For patients traveling in, the clinic helps arrange transport and hotels.

$5,000
per treatment
Typical range
$5,000 – $15,000
Priced per treatment after a records review. Not covered by insurance, so it's out of pocket, though financing is available. Published figures are thin: hair restoration starts around $3,900, and the clinic pegs typical US stem-cell therapy at roughly $5,000 to $15,000.
Pricing is indicative and set by each clinic. Confirm the final cost directly before treatment.
